Debt Negotiation and SettlementDebt negotiation, also called debt settlement, is a legitimate option for debt reduction in which the debtor and creditor agree on a reduced balance that will be regarded as payment in full. Through debt negotiation, creditors may accept payment that is less than the full amount of the debt owed - often at a savings of 40-60% from the original balance. With our debt settlement program, your debt is actually reduced, not just consolidated. How it WorksTo make debt settlement work, you make monthly deposits into a debt settlement account in an amount you can afford. You do not make monthly payments to your creditors. When settlements are reached with creditors, settlement payments are paid from the debt settlement account. These programs approximately take only 24-48 months to complete, so this is a good option for many people to rid themselves of debt in a relatively speedy manner Typically, we can settle the following debts: credit cards, medical bills, unsecured loans, collection accounts, and deficiencies from foreclosures and repossessions. Our experienced debt-negotiation attorneys are available to help answer your questions at no charge. We offer free consultations and will help you determine if you are a good candidate for a debt reduction program. Debt settlement will have a negative impact on your credit score and may create a tax liability. You will also be exposed to your creditor's collection efforts, including letters, calls and possible lawsuits. However, if you are currently unable to afford to pay your creditors, the hit to your credit and the negatives may be worth the benefit of ridding yourself of credit card debt.
